General Experimental Psychology

October 8, 2015

MA in Psychology:

The field of General Experimental Psychology explores methods used to study behavior and mental processes, including consideration of research design, data collection, and data analysis. At a general level, experimental psychologists attend to such topics as social processes, cognition, learning, and memory. More broadly, they are equipped to study behavior and mental processes wherever they manifest themselves.

Over the years, some graduates of Xavier's program in the general experimental concentration have entered doctoral programs in the field, while the majority of students have prepared themselves for work in such areas as psychological research, human factors, market research, and product research.
