Not just for Psychologists. We are an organization with a shared vision and a rich, diverse, membership. Founded by Carl Rogers, Virginia Satir, and Abraham Maslow in the late 1950s, we have grown into a national organization comprised of educators, students, doctors, politicians, scientists, health and social workers, activists - anyone who shares humanistic values and wants to make a difference.
Re-envisioned and revitalized. Over the last two years, we have worked tirelessly to enhance our organization, return to our humanistic roots, and provide meaningful and enriching experiences for our membership. In March 2014, we launched the online publication of the Perspective. Our newest addition is our revamped Members Network, which provides our membership with a social network through which they can connect with other, similar-minded individuals and groups. Please take some time to read our new Vision Statement and President's Message.
An active and dynamic community with multiple avenues for engagement. Connect with members across the country who have similar interests through our Members Network. Feel passionate about something? Submit an article for publication in our online Perspective Magazine. We also have an extensive research database, book list and store, and multiple other resources for our members wishing to learn more about the empirical roots of Humanistic Psychology.
