Welcome to the UCL Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience (ICN) Education homepage.

The MSc and MRes programmes in Cognitive Neuroscience are research-led, state-of-the-art degree programmes on mental processes in the human brain. The programmes bring together some of the world's leading researchers in cognitive neuroscience and cognitive neuropsychology. As a student on either of the programmes, you will learn about the relationship between the mind and the brain in patients and healthy individuals. You may receive case demonstrations of brain-damaged patients, insights into transcranial magnetic and direct current stimulation, and experience with functional neuroimaging techniques (fMRI, EEG, and MEG).

UCL is Europe’s research powerhouse in neuroscience. We are ranked second in the world, and first in Europe, in neuroscience and behaviour by Thomson ISI Essential Science Indicators, with more than twice as many publications and citations as any other European institution.
